Protozoans Feeding, Courtesy Mrs. Zopp's 7th Grade

One of Mrs Zopp's students recorded what he saw in the microscope using his phone and then posted it on You-tube, it's pretty cool.  (I know at least us bio people will enjoy it!)  You can see paramecia, euglena and stentor feeding on algae. Nice to see a "positive" usage of cell phone technology in the classroom.!!

AP Biology Anatomy of the Human Brain

The AP Biology classes learned the major regions of the human brain and their functions by drawing a model of the brain on bathing caps. The following are some pictures of the students wearing their "thinking caps".

Unfortunately many of the details are not that well seen on the colored caps.

However, a few truly brave souls volunteered for "close-ups" as they were sure their "brains" were far superior to their classmates'!!

One student even struck a bathing pose to accentuate the clean line of his brainy pursuit.
