As the culmination of their study of energy, the environmental science students prepared short presentations on the energy consumption, energy production and the use of alternative energy sources in a country of their choice.

Environmental Science Class Build Wind Turbines

The non-AP Environmental science class designed their own wind turbines by choosing the blade material (balsa or plastic, blade shape and size, blade angle, and number of blades. Each team had three chances to change their design to see which design would result in the largest voltage production.
